What is CBD?
Cannabidiol, also known as CBD, is one of over 60 naturally occurring cannabinoid compounds found in cannabis. CBD is an organic compound that comes from the leaves, stalks and flowers of an industrial hemp or cannabis plant. Out of all of the natural compounds found in the plant, CBD is the most widely accepted non-psychoactive cannabinoid. Even though CBD comes from the cannabis or hemp plant, it should not be confused with marijuana. The CBD oil contained in all of Infilife’s products has been extracted from the finest Californian hemp.
If I use CBD oil will I fail a drugs test?
The short answer is NO. Our CBD products are produced from a CBD isolate of 99.9% purity. Cannabidiol (CBD) is not on the WADA prohibited list. Our whole CBD collection is completely free from THC and any other prohibited substances. To ensure this we use third-party lab testing to validate the fact that our products do not contain any banned substances and also verify the strength and quality of our ingredients. Infilife CBD is safe to use for the general public, people in the forces and athletes alike.
Is CBD legal?
Hemp is legal in the UK and CBD is a derivative of that, which means that cannabidiol is also legal. Cannabis, however, is still illegal to use and possess in the UK. All of Infilife’s products are 100% LEGAL to be distributed and used throughout all parts of the UK.
How will CBD affect my body?
Cannabidiol will affect your body by triggering your CB1 and CB2 receptors of the endocannabinoid system which are present in both your brain and nervous system. Your CB1 receptors are present throughout your body but many of them are in your brain. They deal with movement and coordination, emotions, mood, thinking, pain and appetite among other functions. CB2 receptors are more common in the immune system and affect pain and inflammation. Due to this results could vary dependant on your body and your purpose for using CBD.
Is CBD addictive?
As Infilife’s CBD products are THC free it is not an addictive product. THC is the compound that causes some people to become addicted to cannabis.
How long will it take to feel the effects of taking CBD?
This will primarily depend on dosage but you will usually feel the effects of taking CBD oil within 30 minutes of consuming it. For longer-term effects to take place we always suggest taking CBD oil for a test period of at least 30 days to ensure you feel the full effects. Due to the fact that there is no THC or other psychoactive ingredients included in our CBD oil, there is a significant reduction in symptoms. What you should feel are reduced pain in affected areas, calming etc but the results are dependant on you as a person, the dosage you have taken and the purpose for taking CBD in the first place.
How much CBD oil should I take each day?
Everyone’s endocannabinoid system works differently and reacts differently. For this reason, finding the right dosage is purely a case of trial and error. If you have never taken CBD before we would always recommend that you start off on a lower dosage and increase as you go. For relief of severe symptoms, you may need to take a higher dose while mild symptoms will not require as much.
Are there any side effects?
As there is no feeling of being ‘high’ and the oil does not contain any compounds which give off psychoactive effects it will not cause any effects that will interfere with you being able to perform your daily duties. CBD does not negatively interact with the parts of the brain which are responsible for your core functions such as breathing and heart rate. There are no reports of any lethal or deadly doses of CBD.
What is a Cannabinoid?
Cannabinoids are molecular compounds that keep our bodies in balance. Our body will naturally produce them and they can be found in certain types of plant. The cannabis plant creates very close imitations to the compounds that we naturally produce. Cannabinoids facilitate the communication between the cells in our body to keep our body well balanced. Science has classified cannabinoids as fatty compounds that play vital roles within our central nervous system and also our immune system.
What is the endocannabinoid system?
The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a complex arrangement or cannabinoid receptors (CB1 & CB2 receptors) within your bodies bran and central nervous system. The ECS is not just present in humans, many other mammals including cats and dogs also have an endocannabinoid system.
How does the endocannabinoid system work?
Your bodies ECS is targeted by your CB1 and CB2 receptors. These receptors are responsible for different things but your endocannabinoid system affects many different functions and systems within your body such as pain, mood, emotions, appetite, sleep and many more.
What is the difference between marijuana and hemp?
Scientifically speaking, industrial hemp and marijuana come from the same plant, Cannabis Sativa. The main difference between the two plants is their level of THC. A legal hemp plant will contain less than 0.2% THC whereas a typical marijuana plant will contain much more than this. Due to the fact that we use a CBD isolate of 99.9% purity, this not only makes all of our CBD products completely legal but it also means that there are not even trace amounts of THC found in any product from our range.
Can I take CBD oil with other medication?
We would always advise that if you are currently taking any prescribed medication, that you consult your GP or a medical professional about taking CBD with your current medication.
Is CBD suitable for cats and dogs?
As dogs and cats have an endocannabinoid system, CBD is not only safe but also beneficial for them to use. A basic dosing rule for dogs and cats is 1-5mg CBD for every 5kg of bodyweight.
How should I store my Infilife CBD products?
We always advise storing all of our products in a cool, dry area with no direct exposure to excessive heat or constant light such as on a windowsill.
Is there an expiration date for my CBD products?
All of our products will have an expiration date listed on their labels.
Could using CBD get me 'high'?
CBD is not marijuana. During the extraction process from the cannabis plant, all elements of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) have been removed. THC is the psychoactive compound that gives the user the feeling of being ‘high’ or ‘stoned’. As a result of this being removed, using our CBD oil will not give you any feeling of being ‘high’
