CBD General Wellness

CBD the Right Choice

CBD has become very well known for helping with some more significant illnesses like Parkinson’s and Epilepsy, but what about general wellness?

Well, today, more research is being conducted on the general benefits of CBD supplementation than ever before. The human body has an endocannabinoid system just like we have a nervous or an immune system. It is now thought that we are very deficient in this area, unlike previous generations, for example, the consumption of hemp 100 years ago was typical, and hemp leaves in a salad would have been a staple.

CBD supplementation is now meaning people with pain and inflammation are waking up feeling less achy and joint problems in the morning being reduced. This can benefit people from the elderly whose bodies are not as supple as they once were, to sportspeople and the active, in reducing muscle soreness.

Sleep is one of the most important aspects of being healthy, from the recovery of the body to mental health and wellbeing. In today’s world, we are having our sleep effected through many different ways from the stresses of life, to staying up late binge-watching that box set or through the blue lights on our phones and computer screens affecting circadian rhythm.

CBD has been shown to aid in sleep through helping get our body into a deeper sleep state, allowing our bodies and minds to do the all-important repairs needed for us to function at our best.

As well as the benefits from sleep, helping us feel better, CBD has also been shown to help the role our endocannabinoid system plays in our brain. Helping with things like anxiety and depression and has even been shown to help with PTSD. Because a lot of mental health issues go undiagnosed, taking CBD can help people manage these symptoms and get back to some feelings of normality.

CBD is now also being taken as a Nootropic as it has been shown to help promote neurogenesis, one such benefit is improved memory. Other cognitive benefits can come from the effects CBD has on serotonin release, which positively affects your mood. CBD is now being shown to have positive impacts on focus, though studies are limited in this area.
